The Ackermann© Laparoscopic Instrument lines
are designed to achieve the least possible movement between parts to provide better tactile feedback to the surgeon. The handles offer a finger tang for better dexterity and larger finger rings for less fatigue. With more than 250 different jaw patterns, Ackermann© offers a full array of instruments. Furthermore Ackermann© craftsmen are able to shape any jaw for the surgeons need, providing a virtual unlimited range of possibilities.
The moulded RadelTM shaft insulation provides superior patient's safety, performance and durability compared to shrink tubing and therefor lower maintenance costs. Full rotation is supporting variable one digit control.
Trials have shown that Ackermann© inserts do last more than 25 applications, a remarkable number especially when using scissor inserts.

The new Ackermann© ETH Needleholders, made out of breakproof stainless steel with overload protection, cleaning port, ergonomic axial handles with integrated ratchet and a locking mechanism for precise adjustment and controlled tensioning.
Also featuring the new self-uprighting technique which makes turning of the instrument dispensable, to support the surgeon while suturing and therefor reducing the risk of complications.

The Ackermann© ETH-Needleholders comes with a 5 mm shaft and in 330 or 450 mm working length, also to be used with standard commercial surgical needles.
